Crawfords Freightlines Supports Drought Affected Farmers

September 4, 2018cr@wf0rds@dm1n

Crawfords Freightlines had the opportunity of supporting the Mechanical Maintenance Week for Drought Relief in August 2018.

The week-long event organised by Cameron Waters, from Waters Mechanical Repairs, was arranged to assist regional farmers and their families who needed maintenance work on their properties. Mr Waters placed a call to the Hunter community for donations and received much needed supplies including hay, sheep, cattle and dog feed as well as general household items. Crawfords Freightlines supported the cause by donating a truck with fuel to assist in transporting the goods.

The convoy of trucks filled with donations started out on Sunday, 19 August 2018 with our own Kirk Badior as part of the crew. They headed to Bugaldie, a half hour north-west of Coonabarabran, NSW. During the course of the week the team completed over 90 jobs across 30 properties and had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful families. We thank Cameron Waters for organising the event and giving us the opportunity to support those in need as well as Kirk Badior for giving up his time.
