August saw Crawfords Freightlines move 1300 tonnes of aluminium from Sandgate to Brisbane. This is more than double the average monthly movement. Our Alloy team is to be commended for making this happen for our client.
The commitment required a total of 50 truck loads to three different unloads points in Brisbane, but also an additional 150t to 200t going to Melbourne each month.
It is indicative of the capacity of Crawfords Freightlines to move metal products across the eastern seaboard of Australia out of our Sandgate depot by road freight. Crawfords handles the logistics, the transport, and the coordination with contractors to get the job done safely and on time.
The client will provide this aluminium along the supply chain to be turned in various products such as car parts, air conditioning tubing, window frames, and many other products made partially or completely of aluminium.
